These are (most of them third wave) but if not, still cafés with skilled baristas a high quality (probably La Marzocco) machine, and either their own or another carefully selected roast. The specialty coffee shops in Bordeaux are what made me fall in love with the town. They are personal and keep the french culture, whilst staying a modern third wave coffee shop. Plus they can make some really good matcha, beetroot and pumpkin spice latte 😉
Playground Coffee, the name says it all. This coffee shops is a small show-space to chat, be entertained by ironic baristas and have a great flat white.

The only specialty coffee shop by the famous parts of the harbor and near some other beautiful landmarks of Hamburg. If you like thick Italian hot chocolate, you better come here with your flat white mate!
They brew the best flat white in town, mingle innovative drinks for caffeine lovers and offer some of the most flavourful baked goods in hip Sternschanze.
