Hamburgers have been exploding in Hamburg over the last years, and there’s quite a lot of creativity, also in the meatless versions – seitan patties, wasabi-mayo, rice buns, tofu-peanut-banana patties . . .

Bordeaux is the French town of wine… but I was more interested in the avo-toasts, matcha and coconut lattes, vegan gluten-free fudgy chocolate cookies and organic ice cream parlors across from cathedrals and churches on plazas, merged by narrow stoned alleyways and beautiful copper lamps . . . and I’m keeping myself short.
