Supernova is the newest concept store and café in Val Thorens. The owner, Amélie Simond, was a professional freeride skier from town. With Supernova, she has complimented the dominant Savoyard cuisine with organic, vegetarian and refreshing dining alternatives.

Moki’s Goodies is a cute and personal café on Eppendorfer Weg in Hoheluft. I love to come here for a hot drink and cake, the breakfast porridge, avocado on their homemade gluten-free bread or healthy, fresh lunches. Moki’s Goodies is always wonderful and very kind.

Montpellier is a student town: small and medieval, but quite international. The specialty coffee shops in Bordeaux are what made me fall in love with the town. They are personal and keep the french culture, whilst staying a modern third wave coffee shop. Plus they can make some really good matcha, beetroot and pumpkin spice latte 😉

My first experience wwoofing in France, gave me a great insight into this culture. On Ferme d’Olivet I milked goats by hand, prepared traditional multi-course lunches, got insight into a vineyard, participated in folk festivals and visited neighbouring towns by biking through the beautiful country side.

Hamburgers have been exploding in Hamburg over the last years, and there’s quite a lot of creativity, also in the meatless versions – seitan patties, wasabi-mayo, rice buns, tofu-peanut-banana patties . . .
P.S. Meat-eaters: my meat tæster got a bullet point for each featured burger spot, so there’s some advice and tipps for you here too.
