Bordeaux is the French town of wine… but I was more interested in the avo-toasts, matcha and coconut lattes, vegan gluten-free fudgy chocolate cookies and organic ice cream parlors across from cathedrals and churches on plazas, merged by narrow stoned alleyways and beautiful copper lamps . . . and I’m keeping myself short. Plus wild beaches, spectacular sanddunes and the coasts of oyster farmings are just an hours train ride away.
Some people call Munich “Italy’s northest city”… No question why. Here I’ve selected my favorite Italian bistros, ice cream shops and pizzerias between Schwabing and Maxvorstadt.
A third wave coffee shop with some of the best breakfasts in Hamburg. All is dainty, delicious and there are vegan and gluten free options as well. They’re famous for their fluffy, soft waffles, my favorite being the lime-mascarpone one. But it’s also the perfect spot for a work date, or leisurely breakfast with avocado quinoa fritters or a lox-red beet toast.
Alpen Art is restaurant by night, tea salon in the afternoon and artistic lounge simultaneously. Aurélie Rey, the daughter of the resorts first mountain guide, opened this fusion that serves high quality, food with traditional roots and creative but fine twists. It’s definitely worth a visit, for an authentic but modern pause in Val Thorens!
I finally finalized my idea to write down all my blogging goals for this year. Eleven months is still enough of a year . . . not all New Years resolutions have to be printed on January 1st.

DALUMA is one of my two favorite breakfast spots in Berlin (out of many dozen great looking ones). They have the one of a kind superfood bowls, mouth-watering smoothies, cold-pressed juices and an amazing tahini pomegranate bowl.
